    Job Description:

    Duties/Responsibilities

    + Conducts market analysis using demographic reporting, market sizing, and forecasting software.

    + Generates reports and insights based on assigned projects.

    + Ensures software updates are installed and utilized effectively.

    + Develops strategic, operational, and business plans to align with institutional goals.

    + Provides mentorship and training to planning staff on market analysis methodologies, including demographic reporting, market sizing, and referral studies.

    + Evaluates referral market data to identify trends and recommend potential referral sources for physician outreach.

    + Oversees data integrity across databases, troubleshooting issues with internal teams or vendors.

    + Coordinates data governance practices across Scottish Rite reporting departments.

    + Uses hospital software programs to analyze and interpret state comparative databases.

    + Maintains and analyzes market share and forecasting data.

    + Ensures timely submission of Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) reports.

    + Coordinates quarterly submissions to Texas Health Care Information Collection (THCIC).

    + Represents Scottish Rite at Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC) meetings related to market data tools.

    + Serves as the state contact for THCIC and System 13 Administrator, handling user access and troubleshooting.

    + Collaborates with the Epic reporting team to ensure data consistency and integration.

    + Assesses vendor relationships to ensure access to tools and data that enhance strategic planning.

    + Works with vendors to align product capabilities with organizational needs while maintaining financial responsibility.

    + Manages vendor contracts to maximize value for Scottish Rite.

    + Prepares and designs spreadsheets, graphics, and maps for presentations using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and PowerPoint.

    + Trains planning staff on best practices for data visualization and presentation.

    + Monitors and communicates healthcare trends and current events.

    + Adheres to hospital and departmental policies, objectives, and quality assurance programs.

    + Engages in professional development through seminars, workshops, and industry affiliations.

    + Shares relevant training and growth opportunities with team members.

    + Participates in hospital committees and meetings as required.

    Required Skills/Abilities

    + Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, business, healthcare administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.

    + 7-10 years of related experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.

    + Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

    + Experience with Truven Health Analytics Market Expert and Epic preferred.

    + Knowledge of ICD-10-CM diagnosis and procedure coding and DRG payment systems.

    + Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
