The primary role of the Employment Specialist is to support individuals with developmental disabilities to secure and maintain successful placement in a community-based job.

Venture Together, Inc. is a private non-profit organization that provides support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer residential, day, community habilitation, respite and employment services, an equestrian program as well as an integrated summer camp. EOE

Agency Requirements

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the agency’s insurance company driving standards. Must successfully participate in Orientation and pass all required testing. All staff must embrace the philosophies Venture Together adheres to including Person Centered Planning and the DSP Core Competencies.

EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY

The primary role of the Employment Specialist is to support individuals with developmental disabilities to secure and maintain successful placement in a community based job. The Employment Specialist will conduct various assessment activities and provide training to individuals to assist them in learning and improving their employment skills. The Employment Specialist works closely with the individual and their employer to ensure successful employment outcomes.

The Employment Specialist reports to the Director of Employment Services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/GED. Minimum of one year experience working with people with developmental disabilities. Vocational experience a plus. Computer efficiency required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required.

Hours: Tuesday 9:00am – 6:00pm, Saturday & Sunday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Part Time

Salary: $20.00 per hour
