Additionally, the role is expected to foster a culture of continuous improvement by challenging existing practices and identifying innovative solutions to enhance future manufacturing performance.

**WHAT:** As the EGM of Electrical Tooling and Equipment, you will lead the deployment of both in-process and end-of-line electrical hardware solutions to ensure defect-free electrical content in every GM vehicle. This role is critical in validating that all electrical systems are thoroughly tested and meet the highest quality standards prior to vehicle shipment, safeguarding customer satisfaction and brand integrity.

**HOW:** The EGM of Electrical Tooling and Equipment leads and motivates a team of manufacturing experts in developing and deploying execution strategies across GM’s global facilities. This role collaborates closely with Plant, IT, Product Engineering, GA Execution, and Advance Operation teams to deliver innovative, efficient in-process and end-of-line solutions across all GM manufacturing facilities. By ensuring timely delivery of high-quality equipment, the team reduces downtime, improves throughput, and sustains high EFTQ performance. The role also defines and maintains standardized processes to drive consistency, reliability, and productivity—contributing directly to GM’s operational excellence and long-term success.

    What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

+ Lead and mentor a high-performing team of manufacturing experts, engineers, and business development professionals aligned with Global Electrical Lighthouse goals.

+ Drive adoption and integration of emerging manufacturing technologies and advanced electrical solutions for vehicle testing (in-process and end-of-line).

+ Champion employee development through training, mentorship, and career growth initiatives tailored to current roles and future potential.

+ Cultivate strategic partnerships with suppliers, stakeholders, and industry partners to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality inputs and support in-house software development.

+ Own and execute objectives within Global Electrical Level 1 and Level 2 Business Plan Deployment (BPD), driving team alignment and performance.

+ Lead continuous improvement initiatives using plant feedback and data-driven insights to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance vehicle quality.

+ Deliver training on new technologies, processes, and best practices to manufacturing personnel.

+ Participate in talent acquisition efforts, including selection of new team members.

+ Set clear team objectives and foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive work environment.

+ Communicate project progress and innovations effectively to senior leadership and external partners.

    Additional Job Description

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
