    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    Nuclear Medical Technologist

     

    Our Nuclear Medicine teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently reviewing applications for a Florida-licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Tech, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.     Your tasks and responsibilities as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist include but are not limited to:

    • Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans

    • Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders; Administer and record dosages as well

    • Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film

    • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices

    • Compassionately explain procedures to patients and addresses concerns

    • Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH)

    • Assist with transporting patients

    Qualifications

    + Graduate of an accredited and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program

    + Clear/Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)

    + Valid CNMT through NMTCB (https://www.nmtcb.org/)

    + Current Basic Life Support certification

    + Recent experience as a licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred

    + Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
