Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager of Facilities Management supervises programs to maintain buildings, grounds and equipment in accordance with regulations and administrative guidelines. The incumbent maintains the buildings in livable and working condition relative to heat, light, power, air conditioning and other broad, environmental factors; directs the repair of the hospital’s physical plant and its contents; administers a preventive maintenance program to facilitate uninterrupted service to patients, and to assure safe conditions of employment for staff members.

+ You will plan, organize, direct, and evaluate performance which includes maintenance, construction, renovation, plant operations and the maintenance and repair of mechanical, heating, ventilating, water and refrigeration equipment and systems.

+ You will provide compliance with federal, state, and local safety environmental and fire protection regulations and standards as well as accreditation requirements.

+ You will supervise the Facilities Management personnel to ensure that their work meets standards and that safety and building regulations are complied with.

+ You will maintain a close and coordinated working relationship with other hospital departments.

+ You will maintain good rapport with various inspectors including insurance, building, state department of public health, HCAi, elevator, electrical plumbing, TJC, OSHA, EPA agencies and others.

What qualifications you will need:

+ High School Graduate / GED or equivalent technical trade school

+ Minimum five years of progressive experience in the hospital maintenance field
