    **Reporting to the Manager, UV and Filtration Piloting, the Pilot Equipment Technician is responsible for** maintaining, preparing, installing, and supporting the operation of pilot test equipment both in-house and at customer sites. This includes hands-on mechanical and electrical work, troubleshooting, and collaboration with internal teams and customers to ensure successful pilot test execution.

     

    This position will be located in Cortland, NY and will be on-site.

    In this role, a typical day will look like:

    • Maintain, refurbish, and repair pilot test equipment, including filter skids, pumps, compressors, instrumentation, and process piping.

    • Wet test and prepare equipment for shipment, coordinate logistics, and assist in packaging and documentation.

    • Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, or decommission pilot test equipment, occasionally on short notice, including international and weekend travel.

    • Work with Pilot Engineers on equipment startup and issue resolution, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

    • Perform inspections and diagnostics on returned equipment and coordinate necessary repairs and refurbishments.

    • Maintain accurate time tracking, service reports, expense documentation, and ensure positive customer interactions.

    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to services, delivery times, and customer satisfaction.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, including weekends and international destinations.

    • Experience with mechanical equipment, process piping, and electrical wiring up to 460V, including control and network wiring.

    • Proficiency in reading and working from mechanical, electrical, and process drawings.

    • Valid driver’s license and passport.

    • Demonstrated experience in diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.

    The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

     

    The compensation range for this role is $32 - $38 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
