Job** **Purpose** **Summary

The Lead, Shipping position is responsible for the shipping activities in the Distribution Center (DC) ensuring effective day-to-day execution of deliverables and coordination of personnel working in the pick and pack areas. This position will interface with other Leads at the DC, as well as customers both internally and externally to make sure that all customer concerns and shipping issues are addressed in a timely manner.

Ensure that work assignments are distributed as outlined by leadership and recorded in ERP/MRP (Dynamics AX). Efficiently assists the department head in coordinating daily activities of all warehouse personnel including but not limited to distribution of daily work assignments for staff, modify daily orders as necessary to meet changing customer demands (expediting orders, changes, etc.)

What** **you** **will** **do

+ Accomplish daily requirements of the shipping process by picking orders, receiving freight, and directing the work of others.

+ Constant survey of work-flow, directing movement of warehouse workers to areas in need of support.

+ Follow direction and update department head on key process status indicators (KPI’s), and offer suggestions for maximum efficiencies throughout the DC.

+ Responsible for keeping facility secure by monitoring all loading and unloading processes. Follow procedure for allowing associates entry and exit of the facility.

+ Oversight of daily outbound container - FedEx/UPS ground & express/LTL shipments, timely coordination of exit trucks/docks by working with assigned team for pulling, labeling, loading. Enforcing all safety and accuracy check procedures are carried out.

+ Comply with all safety requirements pertaining to job functions and general safety requirements. Maintain clean work area to ensure merchandise remains clean and to prevent work related injuries.

+ Work with other departments in the DC to investigate, review and analyze all Inventory variances (shortages, wrong-location, etc.).

+ Train and mentor facility team members on proper picking, packing and shipping processes and procedures.

+ Ensure that all picking, packing and shipping documentation is accurate.

+ Assistance with oversight of 10+ employees in the warehouse.

+ Manage the safety performance of your assigned area of accountability.

+ Generate, manage, distribute and expedite picking requirements through ERM/MRP system (Dynamics AX).

+ Oversee the overall flow and productivity of the picking and packing team, prioritize picking requirements to meet the daily requirements of the DC.

+ Provide scheduling support for orders within 24 hours and no show report, loaded trailer report and short trailer report at the end of shift.

+ Monitor and expedite orders through AX throughout the day per order requirements.

+ Respond to customer service inquiries regarding customer order status and other distribution related questions within the required time frame.

+ Maintain traffic flow in and out of the DC and improve warehouse operational processes, maintain product safety and quality and legality for storage and distribution of product in accordance with the company brands quality policy and standards.

+ Perform cuts, deletions, shipment cancellation and allocation or other suggested alternatives to best serve customer needs.

+ Ensure adequate job assignments ready to be distributed junior level material handlers throughout their shift.

+ Ensure all ship verification has taken place at driver check out from DC.

+ Assure compliance to all quality standards, GMP and SDDC requirements.

+ Facilitate the shipping process to achieve industry best service metrics (shipment accuracy, shipment cycle times, and finished goods inventory accuracy) while maintaining cost effective operations.

+ Develop and maintain measurement systems to measure performance results for the shipping process.

+ Maintain work standards for your areas of accountability and lead in the continuous improvement of the work standards though workplace.

+ Work with carriers to provide cost effective and timely service.

+ Support shipping procedures for your area of accountability. Provide timely corrective actions and procedures.

What** **you** **will** **need

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.

+ 3+ years of related experience within a dynamic and changing logistics environment.

+ Experience in distribution center operations or previous warehouse experience.

+ Experience performing detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced working environment.

+ Must possess general office skills, computer, typing ability, and be able to operate various office machines (Copier, Computer, RF Gun).

Work** **Requirements** **and** **Physical** **Requirements

• Work is performed in a warehouse environment.

• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs., 10lbs. frequently for a distance of 15ft.

• Consistent use of arms and occasional walking, bending, twisting and lifting for short periods of time throughout shift.

• Must be flexible to working overtime and weekends if required.

Credentials** **or** **Training

• New Associate training in SOP(s) & Quality Control requirements regarding product safety and acceptable employee behavior practices.

Corza Medical offers a competitive benefits package including medical, 401K, vacation and sick time, paternal leave and other benefits.

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this role is $20-26/hour. Further, pay is offered based on geographic location, internal equity, market data, applicant’s job-related skills, commensurate experience, required licensures, certifications, and certain degrees.
