The Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) is seeking a motivated, customer-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our team as aTechnical Records Specialist 1 . This position is part of the Administration Bureau’s Licensing team and is based at our Headquarters office in Boise, conveniently located near the scenic Boise Greenbelt, the MK Nature Center, and Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park.

General Responsibilities:
+ GoOutdoorsIdaho licensing system support: assist with troubleshooting and complete system actions requiring elevated system permissions. Will support in-office staff, as well as staff throughout other IDFG offices and regions.
+ Manage Landowner Appreciation Program applications, including application processing and communication with other IDFG staff.
+ Receive, vet, and prepare incoming certified records requests.
+ Complete after-action processes for high volume tag sales, including coordinating tag exchanges with external customers.
+ Create/audit monthly invoices.
+ May serve as customer service support including taking phone calls and answering emails.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: ( All qualifications listed below are required. To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the minimum experience and/or education standards as outlined in each of the typical qualification guidelines. + Experience monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors. (Typically gained by having at least one year of experience (or more) monitoring records systems, identifying problems and correcting errors.)
+ Experience researching a variety of sources to resolve problems. (Typically gained through at least one year of experience researching and compiling information in order to prepare reports that include recommendations.)
+ Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments. (Typically gained through at least one year of work experience with responsibility for reviewing documents or actions for compliance with laws, regulations, and/or policies or through explaining to others how laws, regulations or policies apply to specific situations.)
+ Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system. (Typically gained by at least six months of experience in a work setting which required data to be entered and retrieved in a database records system or other computer records system.)
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in serving the mission of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, and will have knowledge and an appreciation for hunting, fishing, and trapping activities. Additional consideration may be given at the time of interview to candidates who have some knowledge or experience in hunting, fishing, and trapping.
