    Position Summary:The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting, welcoming, and directing visitors and consumers in a professional manner; providing scheduling support to the clinical and records room staff; answering and routing phone calls in a courteous manner and other day-to-day operations to run the front desk professionally and efficiently.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Greet and direct clients, visitors, and staff in a professional, courteous manner in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.

    + Receive, screen, and route all telephone calls or walk-ins, taking accurate messages and giving referral/general information, as appropriate.

    + Checks in walk-ins for Counseling Center, provides appropriate paperwork and information to complete paperwork, documents walk-in data.

    + Check phone messages daily.

    + Maintain scheduling systems for clinical staff, including making reminder calls.

    + Contacts clients to cancel appointments when counselor is out.

    + Verify insurance eligibility and maintain proper documentation, including scanning identification and insurance card.

    + Collect co-payments and fees from and provide receipt to consumers/clients.

    + Maintain proper documentation and secure monies received.

    + Distribute bus tokens and verify client eligibility.

    + Update client demographics and notify staff of any changes in client contact information.

    + Provide appropriate documentation and admission process for potential clients who may either call in or walk in.

    + Input new client information by referral or direct input.

    + Maintain log of all daily check-in and group sign-in sheets.

    + Accepts deliveries from vendors and contacts appropriate programs.

    + Ability to work independently.

    + Complete other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Physical Requirements:

    + Able to sit for long periods of time

    + Occasional lifting of 20 lbs.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + Demonstrates great customer service skills and phone etiquette.

    + Knowledge of general office procedures.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with diverse populations

     

    Schedule:Monday through Friday
