    **Job Title:** Medical Assistant – Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)

    **Location:** Newark, DE

    **Employment Type:** Full-Time

    **Schedule:** 4 days/week, 10-hour shifts (4/10s)

    **Pay:** $28.30/HR

     

    We’re seeking a proactive **Medical Assistant** to join our Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) team in Newark, DE. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Environmental Compliance, this role plays a vital part in supporting day-to-day safety operations, providing immediate medical response, and promoting a culture of workplace health and wellness. This is a great opportunity for someone with a medical background and safety experience who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide immediate first aid and medical attention for workplace injuries or health concerns

    + Conduct follow-up evaluations and escalate medical issues as necessary

    + Maintain and restock first aid kits, AEDs, and medical supplies

    + Conduct regular walkthroughs of production and support areas to identify potential safety risks

    + Assist with incident investigations, offering medical insight and supporting root cause analysis

    + Document findings and collaborate with EH&S and Production teams to implement corrective actions

    + Monitor, educate and enforce proper PPE usage

    + Administer the safety shoe and prescription safety glasses programs

    + Lead safety trainings and toolbox talks as a health and wellness expert

    + Maintain accurate records of medical incidents and observations

    + Collaborate with HR, Safety, and Operations teams to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards

    What We're Looking For:

    + Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred

    + Current CPR/First Aid certification required

    + 1–2 years’ experience in an occupational, clinical, or manufacturing setting preferred

    + Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices is a plus

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    + Ability to stand, walk, and work in a production environment for extended periods
