Join our manufacturing client's team as a Utility Supervisor!
Our client, a leading global technology company, is seeking a skilled Utility Supervisor to join their Grand Prairie, TX plant. In this critical role, you’ll lead day-to-day production activities while managing inventory and facilitating communication between multiple departments. You’ll be the go-to person on the floor, ensuring operations run smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule.
**Job Title:** Utility Supervisor – Split Shift
**Location:** Grand Prairie, TX
**Pay Rate:** $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience
+ **Shift: 10:00am- 7:00pm**
+ **Training Period:** First Shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM) for several weeks
+ **Overtime:** As needed
+ **Potential Saturday Shift (if required):** 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
+ **Job Type:** Onsite, Full-time **, temp-to-hire**
Key Responsibilities:
+ Drive initiatives to reduce production errors, improve quality, and boost productivity.
+ Follow the production schedule, assign personnel to work areas, monitor progress, resolve bottlenecks, and report on shift performance.
+ Collaborate with purchasing, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and schedule adherence.
+ Manage and track inventory on the production floor.
+ Moderate the flow between production and shipping to meet delivery targets.
+ Act as the liaison between Purchasing and Planning departments.
+ Support continuous improvement and production best practices.
+ Utilize Dayforce for timekeeping and SAP for materials and inventory management.
Required Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of supervisory experience in an Assembly/Manufacturing environment.
+ Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools.
+ Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
+ Strong project management, leadership, and time management skills.
+ Proficiency in data collection, reporting, and analysis.
+ Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
+ Strong SAP experience is **required** .
+ Inventory management experience is **essential** .
+ Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
