    Consolidated Engineering Laboratories (CEL) is a leader in providing quality materials testing and construction inspection services. CEL is a union firm with its corporate headquarters located in San Ramon, CA and has full-service facilities in Northern California, Hawaii, and Utah.

     

    We are seeking a part-time **Construction Materials Technician** to join our Salt Lake City, UT team. Come join us!

    Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Conduct field testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt at construction sites.

    + Collect and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.

    + Accurately record and report test results.

    + Communicate findings to project managers, engineers, and clients.

    + Maintain equipment and ensure calibration and safety standards are met.

    + Travel to job sites as needed.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent (Secondary schooling a plus)

    + Valid driver's license

    + Ability to lift 40+ lbs. and work in various outdoor conditions

    Technical Requirements:

    + 1+ years of materials testing experience preferred.

    + Nuclear density testing certification and ACI certifications preferred.

    Other Miscellaneous Qualities:

    + Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Attention to detail and accuracy.

    Compensation:

    $16.00 - $24.00 hourly

     

    The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
