Description We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in York, Maine, with the opportunity to transition from a contract role to a long-term position. This role is integral to supporting the organization's human resources operations, ensuring smooth onboarding, employee relations, and compliance processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of HR systems and practices, particularly within the healthcare and social assistance industry.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate onboarding processes for new team members, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.
• Conduct orientations to introduce employees to company policies, culture, and procedures.
• Manage administrative HR tasks, including maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
• Support recruitment efforts by assisting with candidate screening and coordinating interviews.
• Address employee relations issues by providing guidance and resolving workplace concerns.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, employment laws, and regulations, including FMLA requirements.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to manage payroll, benefits, and other HR functions.
• Collaborate with department leaders to implement HR initiatives that align with organizational goals.
• Provide communication support for HR-related matters, fostering clarity and transparency.
• Act as a resource for employees, addressing questions and providing support in HR-related areas. Requirements • Proven experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably within the healthcare or social assistance industry.
• Proficiency in ADP systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong understanding of HR compliance regulations, including FMLA.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage employee relations with professionalism and discretion.
• Familiarity with onboarding and orientation processes for new team members.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
