Description

We are looking for a meticulous Billing Clerk to join our team in North Houston, Texas. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise in billing functions while working collaboratively with various departments. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all billing-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain customer files with issued invoices to ensure records are accurate and current.

• Coordinate with internal departments to verify the accuracy of billing information and resolve discrepancies.

• Communicate with clients to address inquiries and resolve issues related to invoices.

• Prepare and send invoices in a timely and precise manner.

• Reconcile account discrepancies and maintain organized records for auditing purposes.

• Collaborate with finance and sales teams to support accounts receivable processes when necessary.

• Manage and utilize client billing systems, ensuring daily updates and generating associated reports as required.

• Provide strong customer-focused support, escalating issues to the appropriate managers for resolution when needed.

• Perform additional duties assigned by management to support the billing operations effectively.

Requirements • Proven experience in billing functions, including invoice preparation and reconciliation.

• Proficiency in computerized billing systems and tools such as Microsoft Outlook.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to resolve billing issues.

• Experience in logistics billing is preferred but not required.

• Familiarity with maintaining billing systems and generating associated reports.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
