    Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Benefits Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies, and providing excellent support to both employees and stakeholders. The Benefits Coordinator will play a key part in ensuring employees understand and make the most of their benefit offerings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Benefits Administration:

    + Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and more.

    + Ensure accurate enrollment, maintenance, and termination of benefit plans.

    Employee Support and Education:

    + Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits.

    + Assist employees in understanding their benefit options and resolving issues with providers.

    + Organize informational sessions and provide educational materials on benefits.

    Compliance and Record Keeping:

    + Ensure benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA.

    + Maintain accurate records of all benefits-related activities and documentation.

    Collaboration with Vendors and Stakeholders:

    + Coordinate with external benefits providers, brokers, and consultants to manage plan offerings, costs, and renewals.

    + Partner with HR and payroll teams to ensure seamless integration of benefits data.

    Open Enrollment:

    + Plan and execute the annual open enrollment process, including communications, system updates, and outreach to eligible employees.

    Benefits Analysis and Reporting:

    + Conduct periodic analyses to ensure programs are competitive and cost-effective.

    + Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership on benefits utilization and trends.

    Requirements

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.

    Experience:

    + 2+ years’ experience in benefits administration, HR, or a related role.

    + Familiarity with working with HRIS and benefits enrollment systems
