Description

We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, leading month-end close processes, supporting ERP systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in operations, procurement, and sales. This is a remote role, but candidates must be located in the PA.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

+ Ensure accuracy of financial data through proper system controls and ledger tie-outs

+ Oversee and support inventory accounting and valuation, including cycle count and physical inventory results

+ Lead month-end close activities: journal entries, period rollovers, balance sheet reconciliations

+ Support tax reporting activities, including issuing 1099s

+ Provide actionable financial analysis and reporting to aid business decisions

+ Mentor and lead the accounting team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement

+ Act as an “end user” support lead for the Syspro ERP system

+ Assist with accounts payable operations: check runs, ACH transactions, vendor setup

+ Process credit applications and maintain vendor records

+ Foster strong working relationships across departments to ensure cohesive financial operations

•Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)

+ 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment

+ Proficient in Excel and ERP/accounting systems (Syspro preferred)

+ Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills

+ Experience in cost accounting, AP/AR, fixed asset tracking, and GAAP compliance

Nice to Have:

+ CPA certification

+ Experience using Power BI for financial reporting and analytics

BWork Environment:

+ Fully remote

+ Frequent cross-functional collaboration

+ Some interaction with the production floor (virtually or during planned visits)

+ Reports to the Financial Analysis Manager

+ Excel (advanced)

+ ERP system proficiency (Syspro preferred)

+ General familiarity with financial tools and reporting platforms

hAdditional Details:

+ This is a contract position

+ No travel or per diem required

+ Candidates must be eligible to receive a company-provided laptop; onboarding is required prior to asset provisioning

+ This position is not expected to convert to permanent or extend beyond the contract term
