• Sr. Accountant

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Hebron, KY)


    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and conduct technical accounting research as needed.

    + Execute general ledger activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and managing project-based invoicing.

    + Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, alongside preparation of financial and consolidation reports.

    + Prepare and maintain reports related to revenue and expense recognition, including deferred revenue calculations, prepaids, and accruals.

    + Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, such as for fixed assets and inventory.

    + Assist in evaluating and improving internal controls to enhance efficiency and uphold best practices.

    + Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

    + Manage all tax filings and reporting requirements, including sales and use taxes, in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

    • Strong understanding of accounting regulations and technical accounting principles.

    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

    • High level of organizational ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including extensive use of its advanced feature
