Description

We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will play a key part in managing accounts receivable processes and ensuring timely resolution of overdue accounts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise in commercial collections and contribute to the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor accounts receivable to identify and address overdue payments.

• Investigate and resolve customer concerns related to billing discrepancies.

• Prepare and present regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and repayment efforts.

• Process debit and credit memos accurately and in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable Specialists to issue refunds for credits on customer accounts.

• Adjust unapplied deposit credits by issuing credit memos when applicable.

• Utilize aging reports to track overdue payments and prioritize collection efforts.

• Ensure compliance with established collection policies and procedures.

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial collections or a related field.

• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and billing collections.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Epicor systems.

• Ability to manage aging accounts and overdue payments effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving skills to handle billing issues and customer disputes.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to generate and analyze aging reports.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
