Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Buffalo, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting essential accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

• Process and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

• Perform thorough bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with actual transactions.

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

• Assist in month-end close activities, ensuring timely and precise completion.

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to manage and report financial data.

• Analyze financial statements and reports for discrepancies, making adjustments as necessary.

• Collaborate with team members to support audits and compliance requirements.

• Provide insights and recommendations for improving accounting processes.

• Ensure adherence to all applicable accounting standards and regulations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger and journal entry processes.

• Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.

• Experience with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
