Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, this role involves managing full-cycle accounts payable processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic retail organization in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.

• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to validate vendor obligations.

• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and matching errors.

• Apply and verify proper discounts for vendor payments.

• Ensure all transactions comply with established accounting policies and procedures.

• Reconcile vendor statements and address inquiries from vendors promptly and professionally.

• Maintain and organize accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate files.

• Assist with monthly closings and provide support for administrative tasks as needed.

• Adhere to internal controls and company policies to maintain process integrity.

• Take on additional duties as assigned to support the accounts payable function. Requirements • Familiarity with three-way matching and accounts payable processes is preferred.

• Ability to work independently while following verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

• Capacity to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks as needed.

• Proficient interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with diverse teams and personalities.

• Competency in Microsoft Excel, with intermediate-level skills being an advantage.

• Reliable attendance and the ability to work flexible hours or overtime as required.

• Proficiency in typing and using a 10-key keypad efficiently.
