Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to work in the government sector, where you will play a key role in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the real estate and business licensing teams to ensure accurate financial operations.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.

• Process and input data efficiently to support accounting functions.

• Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries related to billing and transactions.

• Analyze billing transactions and resolve discrepancies to ensure smooth operations.

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes with precision.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices.

• Support the preparation of financial reports and documentation. Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong experience in performing account reconciliations.

• Knowledge of billing functions and the ability to analyze transactions effectively.

• Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication abilities for customer support and team collaboration.

• Previous experience in the government or real estate sector is a plus.
