Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team in Largo, Florida. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, billing, collections, and reconciliations. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to audit preparation and assist with month-end closing activities.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including entering bills into GL software and managing payments.

• Generate and distribute invoices using ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Follow up on collections by verifying receipt of equipment and approval of invoices.

• Post customer payments and prepare corresponding bank deposits.

• Assist with year-end audit preparation by gathering and organizing transaction records for auditors.

• Support month-end closing procedures, including reconciliation tasks.

• Perform daily bank account reconciliations and manage high-volume credit card reconciliations.

• Calculate payroll commissions and coordinate with third-party payroll providers.

• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing.

• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Experience with bank account and credit card reconciliations.

• Familiarity with processing invoices and payment posting.

• Ability to assist with audit preparation and month-end closing activities.

• Knowledge of payroll processes, including commission calculations.
