Description

Currently seeking a Buyer Associate to join a great company in Chantilly, VA. The Buyer Associate role involves managing procurement activities, overseeing competitive bidding processes, and coordinating contracts to ensure efficient purchasing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing materials and negotiating contracts with vendors. The Buyer Associate position is working on site in Chantilly, VA M-F. Looking to have someone start immediately!

Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement activities, including sourcing and purchasing materials to meet organizational needs.

• Conduct Request for Proposals (RFPs) to identify the best vendors and suppliers for goods and services.

• Oversee competitive bidding processes to ensure cost-effective and quality-driven purchasing decisions.

• Draft, review, and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance and alignment with company policies.

• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast purchasing needs and maintain optimal inventory levels.

• Analyze product sales, data and compile reports.

• Work with vendors, source new suppliers, and develop existing suppliers.

• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.

• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.

• Analyze market trends and supplier options to identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Maintain accurate records of all purchasing transactions and contracts.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in purchasing, planning or procurement functions.

• Must be able to commute to the office in Chantilly, VA daily with no issue.

• Proficiency in managing RFPs, contracts, and competitive bidding processes.

• Strong working in MS Office Suite, Salesforce experience is a plus.

• Strong communication skills, great speaking to clients and follow up skills.

• Strong knowledge of purchasing activities, including sourcing and inventory management.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.

• Familiarity with procurement regulations and compliance standards.

• Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
