    Description Are you an experienced accounting detail oriented seeking a temporary opportunity to showcase your skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)? Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting division is seeking an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing company in South Reno. As the AP/AR Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payables and receivables, maintaining financial records, supporting the AP and AR cycles, and collaborating across departments. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment. This is a 2-3 month temporary role

     

    Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices with attention to accuracy and compliance with company policies. Perform three-way match verification on purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation. Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers. Resolve vendor statement discrepancies and maintain organized AP files. Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and distribute customer invoices aligned with company policies and contracts. Record cash receipts and apply payments to accounts while monitoring AR aging reports. Follow up on past-due accounts and coordinate with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve payment issues. General Accounting Support: Perform monthly AP/AR subledger reconciliations. Assist with month-end closing and audit documentation. Suggest process improvements related to AP/AR workflows and controls.

Experience: 2+ years of AP/AR experience (manufacturing or medical device environment preferred). Software Skills: Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Competencies: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
