Description We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will support key financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented and has a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Code invoices and ensure proper allocation to the correct accounts.

• Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation for audits.

• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and streamline accounting procedures.

• Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Support other accounting functions as needed to ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures.

• Ability to accurately code invoices and allocate expenses.

• Proficiency in accounting software and tools.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication abilities to work effectively within a team.

• Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.
