Client Associate – Family Office
• San Francisco (Steps from Montgomery BART) | Hybrid
• $100,000–$130,000 base (DOE) + Bonus
An established multi-family office based in San Francisco is seeking a Client Associate to serve as a key relationship manager and trusted advisor to a select group of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. This firm is known for delivering white-glove service across wealth management, financial planning, lending strategy, and family office services.

About the Role:
The Client Associate will be the primary point of contact on assigned client relationships, partnering closely with firm leadership to execute custom strategies. You’ll lead client service initiatives, manage complex planning workflows, mentor junior team members, and collaborate across departments. This is a highly visible, client-facing role that requires both strategic thinking and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Act as the day-to-day contact for a portfolio of UHNW clients
+ Execute requests promptly and with a high level of accuracy
+ Collaborate with firm leadership on bespoke planning and investment strategies
+ Serve as a guide and mentor to junior associates and analysts
+ Assist with advanced estate planning, philanthropic strategies, and tax-advantaged planning
+ Coordinate with clients’ extended teams (e.g., personal CFOs, attorneys, assistants)
+ Support new investment allocations, liquidity planning, and account structuring
+ Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and special projects
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 6–8+ years of experience in a client-facing role, ideally in a multi- or single-family office, private wealth, or high-end financial services environment
+ Clear, confident communicator with strong attention to detail
+ Highly organized and comfortable managing complex client needs
+ Familiarity with estate and tax planning concepts
+ Leadership experience in fast-paced, high-accountability teams
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM systems (MS Dynamics or Salesforce) and Schwab Advisor Center is a plus
