Robert Half is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations and ensure the accuracy of reporting within our client's organization. This Controller role is critical to maintaining compliance, driving financial strategy, and supporting key decision-making processes along with maintaining the day-to-day accounting and finance of the company. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to managing financial responsibilities. This Controller role will oversee a small team as well. This Controller will be the right hand to the President and be helping advise and make business recommendations through your analysis.

This role has 2 days in office and 3 work from home days for the Controller!!

Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial activities.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

• Develop and implement strategic financial plans to support organizational goals and long-term growth.

• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.

• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.

• Provide financial reporting and analysis to support executive decision-making.

• Oversee audits and work closely with external auditors to ensure transparency and accuracy.

• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in financial management, including month-end close and financial statement preparation.

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.

• Expertise in financial analysis and reporting.

• MUST be BOTH a Strategic and Hands on Person for this role.

• Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Software conversion experience will be a plus!

• eCommerce experience is preferred
