Description

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our client's team in Columbus, Ohio. This long-term contract position focuses on supporting commercial loan operations, providing expertise in loan booking, collateral management, agency services, and government lending. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of banking operations, a problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to optimizing processes and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily operational support for commercial loan functions, including booking, maintenance, and servicing.

• Identify and escalate system-related issues in key operational platforms and provide troubleshooting guidance.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in commercial loan operations processes and systems, offering insights and training to team members.

• Analyze and document business requirements, translating them into actionable functional specifications.

• Lead and oversee small to mid-sized projects, ensuring smooth planning, coordination, and execution.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Risk, Technology, and Business stakeholders, to align project goals.

• Facilitate testing activities across operations teams during system updates or releases.

• Drive process optimization and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

• Partner with technology teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring seamless transitions.

• Support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of experience in bank operations, or a high school diploma with 10 years of relevant experience.

• Minimum of 5 years in a team lead or analyst role focused on commercial or business banking loan operations.

• Proven expertise in resolving operational challenges and enhancing processes within commercial banking environments.

• Strong critical thinking skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail, with a capacity to independently resolve problems.

• Experience working in high-pressure production environments with tight deadlines.

• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers to achieve positive results in a fast-paced setting.

• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA, and project management software.

• Familiarity with collateral management, loan origination, process improvement, and change management practices.
