Description

The Senior Accountant role encompasses a variety of key responsibilities, including maintaining the general ledgers of operating companies through monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and managing additional tasks within the accounting department. This individual will prepare periodic financial reports as assigned by leadership. Responsibilities also include reconciling bank accounts, verifying deposits, and maintaining banking relationships. The Senior Accountant will assist in recording transactions related to construction loans for new home starts, customer home closings, and lot/land purchases. Additionally, this role involves supporting outside auditors by compiling essential account information required for annual audits.

The ideal candidate for this position holds a four-year degree in accounting and has over five years of relevant experience, including handling day-to-day accounting operations and managing complex journal entries. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on accounting experience.

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel.

• Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting processes, including journal entries and general ledger.

• Expertise in month-end close procedures and account reconciliations.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
