Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in East Lansing, Michigan. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate billing processes, managing accounts receivable, and maintaining excellent customer service standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational and data entry skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue invoices with precision and attention to detail.

• Track and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely payments.

• Communicate with customers to resolve billing inquiries or discrepancies.

• Perform accurate data entry to maintain up-to-date financial records.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage billing data and generate reports.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing operations.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

• Provide outstanding customer service to build and maintain positive client relationships.

• Identify and address billing errors promptly to prevent financial inaccuracies. Requirements

• Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related role.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial management.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

• Knowledge of billing collection processes and best practices.
