Description We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Benefits Administrator to join our team in Novi, Michigan. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a crucial role in managing benefits processes, supporting employees, and ensuring accurate documentation and billing. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and enjoys optimizing HR workflows while maintaining compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Provide clear guidance and support to employees regarding their benefits packages, resolving inquiries and discrepancies efficiently.
• Manage the onboarding process for benefits enrollment, ensuring new team members are set up accurately and promptly.
• Assist employees during open enrollment periods, communicating updates about benefits programs and options.
• Perform detailed data entry and reporting using Microsoft Excel, including creating and auditing spreadsheets for accuracy.
• Review and process benefits billing by auditing invoices against employee data and coordinating payments with Accounts Payable.
• Conduct employee audits to validate coverage and identify discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and refine procedural documentation for benefits workflows, ensuring processes are streamlined and compliant.
• Implement efficiencies in benefits administration processes to improve accuracy and reduce processing time. Requirements • Proven experience in benefits administration, compensation, or a related HR role.
• Strong knowledge of benefits coordination, including COBRA and leave of absence policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
• Familiarity with auditing processes and tools for employee benefits and billing.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits information to employees clearly.
• Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with teams to meet deadlines.
• Understanding of compliance requirements for benefits and compensation processes.
