Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will play a key part in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance processes, and financial reporting within the manufacturing industry. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to organizational success through detailed audits and insightful recommendations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance processes.
• Analyze audit findings to identify areas of risk and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing audit results and present recommendations to senior management.
• Support SOX integration efforts of a newly acquired subsidiary.
• Conduct thorough reviews of financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Assist in the enhancement and maintenance of the corporate internal audit framework.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of existing policies and procedures, recommending updates as necessary.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced auditors during the audit process.
• Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and high standards.
Requirements
• Proven experience in internal auditing, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of audit programs, including planning and execution.
• Expertise in analyzing and reporting audit findings to stakeholders.
• Familiarity with corporate internal audit processes and frameworks including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
• Solid understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work with diverse teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CIA certification preferred.
