Description We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Des Plaines, Illinois. This role involves managing collections processes for both commercial and consumer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. Responsibilities:

• Oversee collection activities for commercial and consumer accounts to ensure timely payment and resolution of outstanding balances.

• Communicate effectively with clients to address payment issues and negotiate solutions.

• Maintain accurate records of collection efforts and account statuses.

• Analyze account data to identify trends and potential risks in the collection process.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing and collection procedures.

• Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements while handling sensitive financial information.

• Prepare reports summarizing collection activities and account performance.

• Provide recommendations for improving collection strategies based on data analysis.

• Support the implementation of tools and processes aimed at enhancing efficiency in collections. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.

• Strong knowledge of credit and billing collection processes.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.

• Proficiency in analyzing account data and identifying risks.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and financial compliance.

• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to recommend process improvements.
