Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role requires a highly organized individual with a strong background in accounting processes and financial management. You will play a key role in overseeing critical financial operations while ensuring compliance and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accurate and complete financial records.

• Oversee accounts receivable activities, including collections, cash application, and aging analysis.

• Supervise accounts payable processes, handling vendor invoices, payment scheduling, and reconciliation of vendor statements.

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including statements and management data, to support decision-making.

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, fostering their growth and development.

• Act as a key user for the Magaya system, optimizing workflows and improving financial operations.

• Collaborate with external auditors to supply required documentation and explanations during audit processes.

• Identify opportunities for improving accounting procedures and implement enhancements to increase efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and relevant regulations. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.

• Expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

• Proficiency in journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Strong skills in bank reconciliations and cash management.

• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data for reporting purposes.

• Leadership experience in guiding and developing accounting teams.

• Familiarity with accounting systems, particularly Magaya, is preferred.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
