Human Resources Generalist

• South Bay, Los Angeles, CA | 💼 Full-Time | 💰 $80,000 – $85,000/year

Our client is a well-established and growing company in the South Bay area with approximately 200 employees. Known for their commitment to quality and team culture, they operate in a fast-paced, hands-on environment within the manufacturing and printing space. They’re seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to lead HR operations and support their dynamic workforce.

Position Overview

The HR Generalist will serve as a key partner to leadership, overseeing all aspects of human resources including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, compliance, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in manufacturing or printing environments and a solid understanding of the unique challenges and compliance requirements in these industries.

Key Responsibilities

+ Oversee day-to-day HR operations for a workforce of ~200 employees

+ Serve as a strategic advisor to managers on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning

+ Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives for hourly and salaried roles

+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (including CA-specific labor laws)

+ Manage and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook

+ Partner with leadership on organizational development and succession planning

+ Handle conflict resolution and conduct internal investigations when needed

+ Coordinate benefits administration and open enrollment in collaboration with brokers

+ Monitor and report on HR metrics such as turnover, engagement, and absenteeism

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR Generalist or equivalent role

+ Industry experience in manufacturing or printing required

+ Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices

+ Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

+ Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

+ SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred but not required

+ Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented leadership style
