    Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team in Westerville, Ohio. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to patients by addressing billing inquiries, resolving account issues, and ensuring a smooth and detail-oriented service experience. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of medical billing processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver patient-focused service by assisting with inquiries related to account balances and payment collection.

    • Accurately calculate and process payments for patients while adhering to established guidelines.

    • Establish and manage payment plans using the online bill pay platform in compliance with approved policies.

    • Research and resolve accounts receivable issues as directed, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

    • Provide support to the scheduling department by identifying in-network insurance contracts and reimbursement policies.

    • Update insurance information and process corrections for registration errors as needed.

    • Request and process refunds in a timely manner.

    • Collaborate with team members and leadership to suggest workflow improvements and enhance service delivery.

    • Handle negative situations with patients calmly and effectively, maintaining a pleasant demeanor under pressure.

    • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support department operations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a medical or call center environment.

    • Familiarity with basic medical terminology and CPT codes.

    • Strong knowledge of patient billing and account reconciliation processes.

    • Ability to assist customers effectively and professionally in an inbound call center setting.

    • Proven experience handling patient interactions with a focus on excellent customer service.

    • Proficiency in processing medical billing and navigating insurance-related inquiries.

    • Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with team members and address patient concerns.
