The Inn at Octagon Acres is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and friendly Cleaner to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and shared spaces, ensuring their high standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate brings a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to top-notch guest service.

Duties include but are not limited to:

+ Strip and make beds with fresh linens in all guest rooms

+ Clean and sanitize bathrooms (toilet, sink, shower/tub combo, mirrors)

+ Wipe down all room surfaces including dresser, table, chairs, and mini fridge/microwave exterior

+ Vacuum carpets and ensure the room is dust-free and tidy

+ Perform laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and restocking linens

+ Maintain cleaning supplies and report when restocking is needed

+ Follow Inn cleaning protocols and standards for quality and safety

+ Report any maintenance issues or room damages promptly

+ Provide a welcoming and respectful presence when encountering guests

Job Requirements:

SUNY Delhi requirements:

+ Have and maintain a minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA.

+ Be enrolled in classes for the Fall 2025 semester

+ Be in good judicial standing with the College.

Octagon Acres requirements:

+ Excellent attention to detail

+ Dependability and punctuality

+ Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

+ Friendly demeanor and strong communication skills

+ Willingness to follow procedures and adapt to feedback

+ Physical ability to bend, lift, reach, and be on your feet for several hours

+ Must have own transportation - location is off campus

Additional Information:

+ Schedule: Friday - Monday

+ Hours: 15 - 18 hours/week

+ Salary: $16.00/hour
