    Under the direction of Director is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, monitoring, and supervising the exercise for cardiac rehab patients. Evaluates Phase I patients, and Phase II cardiac rehab patients. Develops supervised exercise and prepared progress reports for physicians. Organizes and instructs clinics or exercise related classes. This includes Cardiovascular Health screens, 6 minute walk test, Health Assessment, Individual Treatment Plans, exercise testing, risk factor education and consultation.

     

    As of 12-1-2019, Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the area of Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or related field. Prior to 12-1-2019, degrees accepted at time of hire will continue to be accepted.

     

    As of 1-29-2025, Certification by ACSM as an "Exercise Physiologist" or "Clinical Exercise Physiologist" will be required at the discretion of the clinics hiring manager. A change from a previous certification to ACSM "Exercise Physiologist" or "Clinical Exercise Physiologist" will also be accepted. Must have current CPR Certification. Must be blood pressure and heart rate monitor certified which may be done through on the job training.

     

    Previous experience in a similar role preferred.

     

    Must be able to lift 50 lbs., 150 lbs. shared lifting. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Must be able to supervise student Interns. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
