    Job Description

    Lift Operations Supervisor is a full time year round position that supervises the daily schedule of lift operators on all chairlifts at Bretton Woods. A successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage a very diverse group of associates and provide leadership to ensure a high level of engagement and guest satisfaction. The Lift Operations Supervisor may spend considerable time as an operator at a lift and training new operators.

    Responsibilities

    Winter

     

    + Hiring, training and supervising the team of lift operators.

    + Training the team of lift operators to the highest standards of guest engagement and safety.

    + Generating weekly schedules to provide coverage at all open lifts.

    + Monitoring labor reports and ensuring schedule fits into forecasted budget.

    + Setting up daily assignments to ensure effective coverage at each open lift.

    + Making rounds during the day to monitor lift operator performance.

    + Crowd control/corral set up and tear down.

    + Provide lift operators with the tools and equipment they need to be successful.

    + Snow removal at top and bottom of lift.

    + Giving breaks during the work day.

    + Assisting as needed with ticket checking.

    + Responsible for maintaining and filing daily lift logs and training checklists.

    + Work closely with Mountain Operations team to coordinate grooming, snow removal or snowmaking needs at each lift.

    + Work directly with Lift Maintenance team to provide required training and effective start-up and shut-down procedures.

     

    Summer

     

    + Working as one of the scheduled operators at the Gondola.

    + Preoperational inspection and end of day shut down.

    + Training and scheduling for gondola operators.

    + Daily cleaning and inspection of cabins.

    + Daily operational inspection of lift terminals.

    + Light maintenance/carpentry/ painting and cleaning at other lifts.

     

    Off Season

     

    + Intensive deep cleaning of top and bottom terminals.

    + Painting/ light carpentry.

    + Top station operator for maintenance work.

    Qualifications

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.

    + Previous supervisory experience, preferably in the ski industry.

    + Must be able to work night shifts during summer season.

    + Previous experience working in lift operations is preferred.

    + Energetic and outgoing to set an example for other operators.

    + Ability to engage with guests and provide them with information about the Resort and local area.
