    POSITION PERFORMANCE PLAN** **_– INVENTORY CONTROL ANALYST_

    **Position Summary** : An Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for supporting supply management in all assigned areas, which can be inclusive of acute and non-acute locations. This role involves the planning, physical build, and sustainment of inventory locations across the organization. Depending on assigned locations, analyst may also be responsible for all replenishment activities. The responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job. Responsible for item file maintenance, item file data accuracy, maintaining adequate inventory, daily inventory replenishment requests, and updating shelf labels and bin location data for the assigned inventory locations in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Protects inventory assets.

    Position Performance Area/Expectations** **:

    Key Responsibilities

    + Work alongside acute, non-acute, and lab clinicians to design and implement an inventory management model.

    + Responsible for replenishing assigned inventory locations

    + Responsible for maintaining and updating assigned inventory locations as it relates to conversions, new item additions, and/or the removal of product

    + Use supply forecasting methods to help understand location demand

    + Collect and analyze monthly usage to help determine trends and opportunities for improvement

    + Create standard work that can be used as a baseline for department training and continuous improvement activities

    + Perform routine audits to ensure standard work is being followed

    + Create purchase orders (i.e., racking, bins, label holders, etc.) using ERP system

    + Work closely with the operations, clinical, and procurement teams to identify item standardization opportunities

    + Responsible for maintaining accurate item file data for assigned inventory items, including descriptions, packaging string, pricing, vendor, manufacturer number, etc.

    + Responsible for maintaining adequate assigned item inventory levels, including maintaining and updating reorder points and PAR levels consistent with demand, assuring items are reordered promptly when needed, communicating pending or current stock outs to Purchasing in a timely manner, and redistributing inventory within the hospital to assure all locations have inventory.

    + Responsible for maintaining adequate item inventory levels for assigned inventory locations, including maintaining and updating reorder points and PAR levels consistent with demand, assuring items are reordered promptly when needed, communicating pending or current stock outs to applicable user departments, and Purchasing in a timely manner.

    + Also responsible in part (as assigned or necessary) for redistributing inventory shortfalls within the hospital to assure all locations avoid shortages.

    + Responsible for providing shelf labels and bin location data for assigned inventory locations, as well as updating shelf labels to reflect updated information or changes.

    + Regularly assures inventory on hand counts are accurate. Conducts regular cycle counts and corrects counts through inventory adjustments, receipt corrections, or corrections of stock issue errors.

    + Responsible for assuring that items in assigned inventory locations are stored according to life safety and health code requirements. Promptly reports life safety code or health code violations that require management interventions to correct to Supply Chain Operations Manager.

    + Protects inventory assets against theft or unauthorized use.

    + Communicates major inventory exceptions such as stock outs, low stock, large surplus stock, missing items, large count errors, or major errors to Supply Chain Operations Manager, the Purchasing dept., or others as appropriate.

    + Processes accurate reports specific to inventory of supplies upon request.

    + Issues supplies requested by phone; records stock issues on log sheet.

    + Keeps stakeholders informed on supply availability and work incompletion issues of importance. Stakeholders may include Supply Chain Operations Manager, Buyers, Purchasing Manager, Supply Chain team

    + Investigates recall or hazard alert notices relative to supplies, assures recalled items are promptly removed from use, handles returns and documentation of recalls, provides Purchasing with copies of completed recalls.

    **Position Requirements** :

    + One year work experience in a related healthcare or service industry field.

    + Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and exhibit good oral and written skills.

    + Ability to plan daily personal time management and long-term strategies through fiscal budget year activities.

    + Ability to analyze, compose and articulate business opportunities and recommend best proactive outcomes for location Inventory.

    + Prior experience with data inquiry, data entry and P.C. operations. Requires sound math and inquisitive skills resolving system[s] and inventory related issues.

    + High school degree or equivalent.
