Salary: $49,524.80-$69,784.00/Annually
The licensing Supervisor position will be responsible for managing licensing programs that include casino, sports wagering, fantasy contests, and advance deposit wagering. This person shall oversee the process of accepting, reviewing and directing investigations of backgrounds related to the application in any of the areas listed for licensure to include business and individuals. This position will provide information to applicants, and the public on licensing, regulatory practices, state and federal laws and rules. The position will audit, inspect and/or continuously evaluate licensees for verification of compliance and reporting noncompliance or concerns to the Executive Director.
Primary responsibilities include:
+ Process initial applications for completeness prior to background investigations.
+ Work with staff or contracted services to complete background checks.
+ Complete training to have the ability to review fingerprint results.
+ Use discretion and judgment in dispensing information.
+ Assist the Executive Director in identifying potential illegal activity in these areas for appropriate handling by statute or rule.
+ Work in collaboration with the licensing specialist to issue licenses upon completion and approval of the Executive Director.
Skills or knowledge required:
+ A degree in a related field or combined experience in areas of regulatory oversight by the unit.
+ Knowledge of laws and rules related to casinos, sports wagering, fantasy contests and advance deposit wagering to include licensure.
+ Essential knowledge of wagering offered in each area identified.
+ Knowledge of state laws, rules and regulations governing professional licensing practices and procedures.
+ Excellent oral and written communications skills.
+ Knowledge of supervisory techniques and management practices
Minimum qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree in Education, Business/ Public Administration, or related field and two (2) years experience in program development, professional licensing, developing training curricula, and/or supervisory/lead worker experience. –OR- An acceptable equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
