    We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Supplier Quality Assurance Manger responsible for ensuring quality, safe food and maintaining compliance of raw materials into the Nom Nom production facility. In this critical role, the SQA manager will collaborate closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders and cross functional associates to develop, implement and drive continuous improvements in the overall quality of our products and processes. This position plays an important role in protecting the brands of Nom Nom and across the Royal Canin / Mars ecosystem.

     

    This is a great opportunity for someone with strong supplier management skills, adherence to strict quality assurance and compliance processes, and material risk analysis.

     

    What are we looking for?

     

    Education & Professional Qualifications

     

    Bachelor's Degree in Food Science / Microbiology / Food Engineering / Food Technology or General Science. Master’s degree in aforementioned areas is preferred

    Knowledge/Experience

    Knowledge / Experience FMCG Food/ Beverages experience with 5+ years experience in QMS /FSMS/HACCP/GFSI (Quality & Food Safety Management systems like ISO 9001/FSSC 22000 and/or equivalent internal Standards).

     

    Preferable functional expert with overall 10+ years of experience in areas of Quality Assurance within the food manufacturing system.

     

    Deploy QFS standards (eg: Material Quality Management (MQM), Packaging Quality Management (PQM), High-Risk Chemical Ingredient (HRCI) Standards** **When required, contribute to the drafting and formulation of Nom Nom Q&FS Standards

     

    In-depth knowledge/understanding of raw materials (proteins, vegetables, vitamin and mineral mix), packaging materials, food safety & quality management system (HACCP), supplier qualification process, and continuous improvement programs is preferred.

     

    Excellent internal and/ or lead auditing experience.

     

    Proficiency in Google, Microsoft Office, Safety Chain, Nexus and Oracle are preferred.

     

    Strong analytical skills, problem resolution and interpersonal skills.

     

    What will be your key responsibilities?

     

    Supplier Management & Evaluation

     

    Lead the qualification, periodic on site supplier audits and performance monitoring of raw material manufacturers, co-manufacturing sites and distribution points to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.

     

    Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement in quality and compliance.

     

    Conduct risk assessments and manage corrective and preventive actions (SCAPA’s).

     

    Quality Assurance & Compliance

     

    Implementation of Supplier Quality Assurance programs, focusing on raw materials.

     

    Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, FSSC etc.) and global quality standards.

     

    Lead supplier audits and work with suppliers to develop/improve robust quality control measures.

     

    Material Qualification & Issue Resolution

     

    Lead the qualification of new raw materials and suppliers that are required for Nom Nom production, ensuring alignment with product quality requirements.

     

    Investigate and resolve quality issues related to supplier provided materials, implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions.

     

    Participate in the review and development of Material Risk Assessments by providing supplier control information and accurately assessing risk related to materials and likelihood of occurrence.

     

    Collaborate with Q&FS, R&D/Nutrition, Supply Chain and Plant Operations teams to ensure timely raw material incident management process, including root cause analysis.

    PAY RANGE:

    $90,000—$130,000 USD
