It's designed to automate data management and security. We are in search of a backend software engineer passionate about formulating new solutions, to join our on-site team in Northern Virginia. We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our innovative technology team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates eager to apply their skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of software solutions that support Jacobs' diverse portfolio of projects across various industries.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications

    * Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

    * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and implement solutions

    * Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality

    * Debug and resolve software defects

    * Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends

    * Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes

    * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

    * Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript)

    * Basic understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)

    * Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

    * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

    * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

    * Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies

    Preferred Skills:

    * Experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks)

    * Knowledge of database systems and SQL

    * Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

    * Understanding of software testing principles
