**Position:** Assistant to the Director of Support Services
**Location:** Stanhope, NJ
**Shift:** Monday-Friday; 8am-4pm
Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Director of Support Services, this position provides administrative support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Administrative Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Director of Support Services. The Administrative Assistant also serves as a liaison to management teams; organizes and coordinates outreach and external relations efforts.. The Administrative Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within an environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The Administrative Assistant is required to have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills. Must have the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Administrative Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be 18 years or older and possess a driver’s license valid in the State of New Jersey (probational licenses are not accepted).
Additional Requirements, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
-Submission of a criminal background check that is determined to be not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to hire; agreement to be checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities; complete an application to have name checked against the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI); Run against the List of Excluded Individuals/Entities.
-Successful completion of a Pre-employment physical; Pre-employment tuberculosis test.
-Clearance based on a 3-year and annual motor vehicle abstract assessment.
-Must be able to successfully complete required training which includes, but is not limited to:
Preventing Abuse and Neglect with on-site competency assessment
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions

Benefit Description:
Eligible employees may participate in the health insurance plan subject to all terms and conditions of the agreement between Capitol Care and the insurance carrier. Health insurance is offered to eligible employees and will be effective on their ninetieth day of employment. Dental and Vision benefits are offered after the eligible employee's sixth month of employment.
Upon initial eligibility the employee is eligible to accrue up to 20 PTO days each year (6.16 hours shall accrue after completion of every 80 hours of work). These 20 PTO days include New Jersey's required 5 paid days of sick leave.
Capitol Care provides Life Insurance to full-time employees that attain three years of continuous service (40 hours or more per week).
