Overview
The Learning & Development Business Partner (LDBP) plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and regulatory compliance across the organization. This position is responsible for coordinating, delivering, and enhancing employee development programs with a strong emphasis on employee development operations, compliance training, and new hire onboarding. The LDBP champions additional learning initiatives aligned with organizational goals by leveraging best-in-class practices across multiple learning formats.
Responsibilities
Position Goals:
+ Optimize Learning Operations: Ensure the learning management system (LMS), intranet pages, and shared learning resources are consistently maintained, user-friendly, and up to date, resulting in increased employee engagement with development opportunities.
+ Coordinate and Monitor Compliance Training Initiatives: Ensure appropriate assignment and timely completion across the organization, with proactive remediation strategies for employees requiring additional support.
+ Deliver High-Impact Onboarding and Development Programs: Facilitate engaging, inclusive, and learner-centered onboarding and development sessions that improve new hire readiness and support ongoing employee growth, as measured by participant feedback and performance metrics.
+ Strengthen Stakeholder Partnerships: Act as a strategic learning advisor to internal stakeholders, providing guidance on adult learning principles and change management to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of training initiatives.
+ Drive Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and processes, leveraging data and feedback to implement improvements and support evolving business needs through special projects and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Learning Operations
+ Manage the LMS and provide support to other LMS administrators.
+ Maintain Employee Development pages on company intranet.
+ Develop and update shared Employee Development sites and training calendar to market internal and external employee development opportunities.
+ Oversee Educational Assistance program for employees pursuing external education and/or certification
+ Compliance Training Coordination
+ Collaborate with Compliance, Risk Management, and HR Operations to establish the schedule for required compliance training, validating assignments are aligned with employee functions.
+ Coordinate with stakeholders to evaluate compliance learning content, making changes as required to meet Company needs.
+ Own the process for ensuring all employees complete required training by established deadlines, running reports as needed to confirm completion records.
+ Provide remediation for employees needing additional support to complete required courses.
+ Program Facilitation & Management
+ Serve as primary Learning Partner for new hire onboarding, providing virtual and/or in-person training on company systems, including intranet, HRIS, LMS, and communication platforms (e.g. WebEx, Outlook).
+ Deliver talent development programs aligned with organizational goals.
+ Facilitate interactive, learner-centered sessions to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
+ Evaluate program effectiveness using feedback and performance metrics; continuously improve content.
+ Ensure inclusivity and engagement in all learning initiatives.
+ Stakeholder Collaboration
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and subject matter experts, advising on best practices in adult learning, engagement, change management, and learner experience.
+ Special Projects & Additional Duties
+ Take on special projects and ad-hoc assignments needed to support evolving business needs and personal professional development.

Actively contributes to projects through planning, execution, and collaboration.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or a minimum of five (5) years of work experience in learning and development, organizational development, talent development, or human resources.
+ Proven experience in the various disciplines of employee development including adult learning theory, training methodologies, and/or consulting.
+ Working knowledge of financial regulations and prior financial institution experience preferred.
+ Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills to effectively deliver training sessions and interact with stakeholders.
+ Ability to work autonomously and take initiative on multi-faceted projects and responsibilities.
+ Ability to travel throughout the Company’s footprint; occasional overnight travel may be required.
