Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Little Rock AFB, AR - Hangar 1080 This position is guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours but can be scheduled to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Plans, organizes, schedules, and coordinates all Club catered functions, special events and membership program activities in accordance with AF directives. Serves as liaison between food & beverage operations, contractors, managers and members for coordination of club programs and special events. Provides catering service for member's functions held inside and outside the club. Prepares membership and event budgets, analyzes financial results, maintains required membership and after-action data and revises budget as required; meets AF and MAJCOM financial goals. Uses Microsoft Office programs and other graphics programs to design and prepare various fliers, brochures, and vinyl banners using original concepts and commercially provided graphic art. Validates and verifies program information with managers. Serves as equipment custodian, facility manager, Quality Assurance Evaluator, and NAF Purchase Card Holder (NAF P-Card). Responsible for ensuring routine maintenance is performed and submits work orders as needed. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to cover special events held after normal duty hours, weekends or holidays. May operate a motor vehicle up to 10,000 pounds on the installation. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience which has demonstrated the ability to plan and organize social functions and organization of activities required coordination of numerous tasks involving cooperation from several sources of services or personnel; experience scheduling special events and arranging for catering services; responsibility for supervising or overseeing the food preparation or facility layout for group social functions. Must have responsible administrative, professional or technical work which has provided a good knowledge of marketing and marketing techniques. Must be computer literate to include knowledge of desk-top publishing capabilities to enhance the presentation of data; have experience in using Microsoft Office programs; must have good design and layout principles. Applicant must have responsible experience and has demonstrated knowledge in financial management, community wide program planning or membership organization. A good knowledge of AF Club membership programs, practices and procedures is highly desired. Must be able to read, speak and write English. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.
