    Staff Accountant

    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant with at least 5 years of accounting experience to join our team on a contract basis. This role is open due to a medical leave, and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with minimal training.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

    + Prepare and post journal entries.

    + Assist with month-end close processes.

    + Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity.

    + Support financial reporting and audits as needed.

    + Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting experience.

    + Strong understanding of GAAP.

    + Proficiency with accounting software.

    + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

    Qualifications

    + A true accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

    + Comfortable stepping into a role with limited onboarding.

    + Reliable, proactive, and deadline-driven.

    Work Environment

    This position is in-office from Monday to Friday with flexible start times once up to date on job duties. There is a possibility for work-from-home on Fridays after training

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
