    Job Title: BuyerJob Description

     

    The primary role of a Buyer is to procure machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services essential for the functioning of an establishment. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for acquiring goods and services for your organization, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

    Responsibilities

    + Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, and availability.

    + Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.

    + Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.

    + Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues related to undelivered goods.

    + Analyze and maintain purchasing and quality data, including purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and supplier data.

    + Implement local or regional sourcing strategy under the guidance of a Manager and experienced Buyers.

    + Manage requests for quotations, issue purchase orders, and oversee cost changes.

    Essential Skills

    + Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, purchasing systems, and e-mail systems.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Attention to detail, negotiation skills, and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals, and other technical data.

    + Knowledge of supply chain management and applicable purchasing laws and regulations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in a financial discipline preferred; other disciplines considered.

    + Associate's degree with 2 or more years of related experience will be considered.

    + SAP experience is highly preferred.

    + Purchasing, procurement, or supply relationship background is advantageous.

    Work Environment

    This is an onsite, full-time position requiring presence in the office from Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm. The role reports to the Supply Chain/Category Management team and involves a dynamic work environment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
