    We are seeking a motivated Estimator and/or Quantity Surveyor to fill the role of **Bill of Materials (BoM) Manager** here at the Harbinger Factory on Mare Island. This position manages and performs a variety of estimating and quantity survey duties including quantity takeoffs for a bill of materials, database input, coordination of bid documents for procurement of the bill of materials.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare cost, materials, and labor estimates.

    + Measure take-offs to establish quantities of materials needed.

    + Review, interpret and accurately estimate the scope of work as described in the project documents.

    + Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.

    + Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.

    + Perform design/build, conceptual and budget estimates.

    + Develop budget estimates by performing accurate quantity takeoffs using plans and specifications, or conceptual information.

    + Consult with other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

    + Confer with the factory team on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

    + Coordinate efforts with the Preconstruction Manager, Architectural and Engineering Department, Factory Floor, and Project Management Team.

    + Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the Preconstruction Manager, Architectural and Engineering Department, Factory Floor, and Project Management Team with recommendation for resolution when possible.

    + Develop & maintain relationships with the factory teams.

    + Review contracts, documents, qualifications, clarifications, and exclusions to understand the scope of project and requirements for completion.

    + Provide value engineering ideas and cost delta.

    + Manage the entire BoM process, starting from the initial submittals, producing the engineering BoM from the Revit model, finalizing the fab drawings relative to the HCD set, addressing production floor requests, and reviewing the final BoM after project completion to improve the BoM process.

    + Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by executives.

    + Work and collaborate with Team Members throughout the company for specific project needs.

    Requirements

    + **Education** : Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction. Or equivalent on the job experience in construction.

    + **Experience** :

    + Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience working in a cost estimating and cost management role in the construction industry.

    + Experience supporting cost estimating and cost management on medium to large sized construction projects.

    + Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering.

    + **Technical Skills:**

    + Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel)

    + Experience with Sage Estimating, WinEst, Procore, or other construction estimating software programs.

    + Experience with BIM 360 document software.

    + **Soft Skills:**

    + Strong communication skills

    + Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, professionalism and commitment to company values.

    + Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    + Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.

    + Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail.

    Work Environment

    + Primary Location: Onsite at Vallejo, CA headquarters

    + Physical Demands: Office setting with prolonged computer use; occasional lifting of files up to 15 lbs.

    + Schedule: Standard business hours with flexibility during month-end close.

    **Pay Details:** $120,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
