    Ready for a hands-on, independent role where every day is different? The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter is hiring a Redemption Route Driver in our Business Enterprises Department!

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter is looking to add a Redemption Route Driver to our Business Enterprises team. This route-based driving position is responsible for customer pickups and the transport of redeemable bottles and cans to the Redemption Center for processing. Using a box truck equipped with a ramp and hand truck, the driver will visit customer locations across multiple counties, provide excellent customer service, and assist with operations at the Redemption Center when not on the road.

    SCHEDULE/HOURS:

    + Monday – Friday

    + Daytime hours only

    + No evenings, weekends, or holidays!

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + High School Diploma or GED preferred

    + Minimum of 3 years general work experience preferred

    + Valid NYS Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

    + Ability to lift and maneuver bags and boxes of bottles and cans

    + Familiarity with DOT regulations and safe driving practices

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Operate a box truck (over 3-ton capacity) for pickup and delivery of bottles and cans across multiple counties

    + Load, sort, stack, and unload cargo using a ramp and hand truck while maximizing space in the vehicle

    + Deliver exceptional customer service at each location, treating customers and coworkers with respect and professionalism

    + Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries, invoices, and route activity

    + Track vehicle maintenance and perform regular inspections; report any issues or needed repairs

    + Keep the truck clean and organized, inside and out

    + Follow all NYS Motor Vehicle Laws and comply with federal, state, DOT, and company safety policies

    + Assist with Redemption Center operations as needed, including counting and processing returnable containers
